Daniel speaks fluent Spanish and plays Drums and Percussion. He has recently performed with the Baja Symphony and the La Jolla Symphony and Choir. Daniel will be performing in the production of Hair at The Old Globe Theatre. His studies include the genres of Jazz, classical, rock, Latin, West African, Brazilian and Caribbean drumming. Welcome to Local 325, Daniel!
David plays Tuba, Cimbasso, and Euphonium and has rejoined Local 325 to perform with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra. He has recently performed with the New West Symphony, the Pacific Symphony, the Santa Barbara Symphony, Opera of Santa Barbara, the L.A. Opera, and as a studio musician in Los Angeles. David received his BM at Eastman School, his MM at the University of Arizona, Tucson, and a DMA at USC. He is a professor at CSU Fullerton and Concordia University. Welcome back!
Weiyi is a collaborative pianist and has also rejoined Local 325. She will be performing with the San Diego Symphony and says that she loves chamber music and getting together to make music. Weiyi studied Collaborative Piano at Manhattan School of Music. Glad to have you back at Local 325!
Kathryn plays Double Bass and has been employed by the San Diego Symphony Orchestra as a long-term substitute. She recently performed with the New World Symphony. Kathryn received an MM in 2018 from Rice University and a BM in 2015 from the Peabody Institute of Music. Welcome to San Diego!
Michael has reinstated his membership in Local 325 to perform with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra. Michael is a member of Ensemble Echoi for the Monday Evening Concerts series, which is the longest running contemporary music program in Los Angeles. He is classically trained and is working on a doctorate in contemporary music performance from UCSD (expected Fall 2021). Welcome back, Michael!

Brenden plays Congas, Bongos, and various Percussion instruments. He is soon to launch a Latin Jazz Grateful Dead tribute band and will be looking to hire local musicians. Brenden began his musical career in New York circa 2005 playing Percussion both locally and touring nationally in various groups; primarily Latin, but some Reggae and Indie-Electro. He studied at Purchase Conservatory on Lehman College of the Bronx Latin Jazz Program. We welcome Brenden to San Diego and Local 325.
Gilvan Aparecido Valerio dos Santos
Gilvan plays Electric Bass, Acoustic Guitar and Cavaco. He has recently performed with the Super Sonic Samba School, Grupo Resenha California and Life Point Church. Gilvan performed with some notable musicians in Brazil – Katinguele Group, Pericles, Lucas Morata, Vava, and the Karametade Group to name a few. We welcome him to Local 325.
